Rosvall Sawmill
This 1,271m² new timber treatment plant involved the installation of numerous large timber-driven piles, supporting a complex foundation system of capping beams and a bunded set-down area. Hexagonal concrete plinths were constructed to support storage tanks, with carefully planned slab control joints requiring multiple pours of high-strength concrete mixes. The storage tanks and new timber treatment plant were installed ahead of the structural steel portal frame erection. To ensure adequate ventilation, the external elevations were designed with large open sections in the cladding, allowing optimal airflow through the building.
