What we do

Our Process

From concept to completion, A-Line are with you every step of the way

We handle everything from concepts and plans through to contruction and installation. Creating comprehensive plans and specifications for construction, as well as handling the coordination and submission of documents to Council for approval. Once the working drawings are finalized and approvals obtained, we move on to the construction stage.

With our modular builds the construction happens off sight so there is minimal disruption while making on-site assembly fast and efficient results. With our large under cover construstion site, work progresses rain or shine, so there are minimall delay, saving time and reducing costs without ever compromising on quality.

Our process prioritises customer service, technology, and expertise, ensuring a seamless experience from consultation to handover.

Our process
Stage
01
Initial Consultation and Preliminary Design
We will meet with you to discuss your project requirements, goals, and budget. The purpose is to understand the vision you have for the project, and establish a clear direction. The team creates initial design concepts and sketches based on the client's input. This sets the foundation for further collaboration and design refinement.
Stage
2
Design Development, Working Drawings, and Consents
The next step is to refine the initial design concept, creating detailed working drawings, and obtaining necessary approvals and consents. A-Line collaborates closely with the client to incorporate their feedback and requirements, and then creates comprehensive plans and specifications for construction. We also handle the coordination and submission of documents to Council for approval. Once the working drawings are finalized and approvals obtained, we moves on to the next stage.
Stage
3
Construction, Project Sign-off and Handover
The final step in the construction process is the actual construction itself. Once completed, the project undergoes sign-off and handover. This involves inspections, tests, and evaluations to ensure compliance with specifications. Documentation and relevant materials are transferred to the client. Any remaining issues are addressed before the project is officially handed over for client ownership.
Stage
01
Design
We engage early with clients and consultants to develop a modular solution that is both practical and tailored to project needs. Early involvement allows us to optimise layouts, compliance, and buildability - maximising the efficiencies of modular construction while ensuring the final outcome meets all functional and aesthetic requirements.
Stage
2
Factory Construction
Modules are manufactured in our controlled factory environment, where quality and efficiency are prioritised. This approach reduces material waste, eliminates weather delays, and ensures a consistent standard of workmanship. Off-site construction also allows the building programme to advance in parallel with site preparation, shortening delivery timelines significantly.
Stage
3
Site Preparation
While modules are being built, our site team completes the enabling works. This includes clearing the site, installing foundations, and preparing services and access routes. By overlapping these phases, we minimise project duration and reduce disruption at the site.
Stage
4
Delivery & Installation
Modules are transported to site and craned into position with precision. Once assembled and weather-tight, our team completes the final connections, commissioning, and finishes right through to landscaping if required. The result is a high-quality, ready to use modular building.

Testimonials

Throughout the year-long build, we felt that we were working with a team who cared as much about the final product as we did. They take pride in their workmanship and we certainly felt valued throughout the process. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

The process
1
Feasibility
2 WEEKS
We’ll conduct a review of logistics, transport and planning check to ensure a the process goes smoothly.
2
Planning
Variable
If council approval is required, we will prepare the documentation for submission and coordinate external consultant reports alongside a local planning consultant. The typical timeline for submitting an application is 6-8 weeks; however, response times can vary. If your project is exempt from a planning permit, you can skip this stage and commence Stage 3.
3
Contract & Building Permit
6-8 WEEKS
We will collate the necessary documentation and external consultant reports to obtain a building permit and prepare for construction of your new home. At the end of this stage we will prepare a HIA fixed price building contract.
4
Manufacturing & Construction
12 WEEKS(subject to complexity)
Manufacturing and construction of your home begins after the building contract is signed and a short procurement period (typically 4 weeks). Five stages of payments are made including deposit, base, frame, lockup, and fixing.
5
Delivery & Install
3-5 WEEKS (subject to complexity)
Your home will be delivered and installed. The final stage payment is made at this point
